The Gratuity is a traditional part or well managed services. We suggest a minimum of 10% to 15% based on the total amount of the hunt. The gratuity can be added to your invoice or you may take care of it personally. Gratuities can be taken care of at the office at the end of your hunt.

What is the bag limit?

The bag limit is the number of animals you may harvest in one day. 12 for dove, 15 for quail and 6 for duck, depending upon state and federal regulated bag limits.

How many can I take home?

You are allowed to have no more than twice your daily bag limit in your poccession. Therefore, we will package up to 24 dove, 45 quail and 12 ducks for you to take home.

Will I need an ice chest for transporting game?

Yes, we will package game birds in a portable ice bag that will last for 12 to 18 hours. If you need birds to be kept cold for a longer period of time, an ice chest will be needed. You may bring your own or purchase one from the ranch. All deer meat to be taken home must be inside an ice chest.

What type of hunting license do I need?

You will need a Texas hunting license for either dove, quail or deer. You will need a duck stamp to hunt ducks. You can purchase your hunting license at the La Bandera Ranch office. What is the weather like?

Summer time temperatures range from the 70's in the morning to the 90's and 100's in the afternoon. Dove season temperatures are usually in the 80's and 90's. Deer season can be cold with temperatures sometimes dropping below freezing.

1. Dove hunting……Comfortable dark clothing, usually in green, brown or khaki.

3. Good walking boots
4. Quail hunting……Both warm and cool weather clothing, chaps or snake boots and an orange cap and vest is required.
5. Standard shot size shells (7 1/2)
6. A shotgun or rifle, depending on the type of game you are hunting. We do not furnish weapons of any kind.
7. Swim suit and towel.
8. Sun screen.
9. Ear protection.
10. Shooting glasses and gloves, if desired.
11. A bird bag for shells and birds.
12. Fishing equipment, rods medium action, tackle, top waters, slugo's, spinners, worms, hooks, weights, etc.

Gift shop

There is a gift shop located at the office where you may purchase hunting supplies and souverniers.

Items include: shotgun shells, snake guardz, snake chaps, custom caps and shirts, shooting glasses, ear plugs, ice chest bags, cameras, bird bags, quail hunting vests, candles, coasters, keychains, coffee mugs, margarita glasses, etc.
